Seriously Haunted Hostel
YHA’s historic hostels don’t just attract American reporters, they attract supernatural visitors too! At least, that’s what cabaret singer turned ghostbuster Ross Andrews believes.
According to a report in This is Gloucestershire, Ross and his colleagues from Parasoc have been staking out St Briavels YH hoping to track down any visitors from the spirit world. Apparently they’re having some success:
“We have seen up to three ghosts a night. That place is seriously haunted.”
Well, since one of the dorms sits atop an oubliette, and another was once associated with public hangings, St Briavels has to be at the front of the queue for YHA-card toting spooks (if you believe in such things). Let’s hope they’re enjoying their stay!
