Group Conduct
Group conduct for Affiliate Members of YHA is more than just about your behaviour when you are staying at a Hostel, when staff or volunteers will be on hand to help deal with any situations that arise.
As you can promote yourselves as Affiliate Members of YHA and, subject to license, use our recognisable green triangle logo, the Association trusts that your group or club will always consider the reputation of YHA in the conduct of the group and its members.
If conduct of an Affiliate Member is deemed to bring (or potentially bring) YHA into disrepute, YHA reserves the right to terminate your group’s membership and to withdraw rights to use the ‘Affiliated to YHA’ logos.
If your Group has also signed a licensing agreement with YHA about use of the green triangle ‘YHA’ logo or use of ‘YHA’ in its name, disreputable conduct will also breach the terms of the license and legal action may be taken.
Where poor conduct can be evidenced, you will be informed in writing of YHA’s intention to withdraw your membership and you will be given the opportunity to appeal before a final decision is made.
