Fund Raising for YHA
YHA is a charity whose mission is:
To help all, especially young people of limited means, to a greater knowledge, love and care of the countryside, and appreciation of the cultural values of towns and cities, particularly by providing Youth Hostels or other accommodation for them in their travels, and thus to promote their health, recreation and education.
So we hope that your group will considering organising some fundraising activities in support of YHA. Supporters embark on various ventures to raise money for YHA. From trekking and cycling challenges, through to less active pursuits like selling cakes on a stall or a sponsored silence. The money raised can help YHA in a number of ways like paying for building work at small Hostels and giving disadvantaged young people the chance to experience an activity-packed residential stay.
There are some laws governing the way that fundraising events and collections are operated and you should work within these when you plan your activities.
