These suggestions for Local Group activities have been gleaned to a large extent from Local Group programmes. What you do is limited only by your imagination and ‘bright ideas’ is intended merely as a memory jogger for the downtrodden programme or social secretary. You may take up some of these suggestions or they may prompt some ideas of your own. Several of the suggestions could fall into more than one category. The choice clearly is yours but the Hostelling and Local Groups Committee have tried to avoid duplication in the lists. No explanation is given in most cases, many need none, and in some cases it is not known what the event consisted of.
